Warning: This article contains spoilers for Pluribus season one.

Pluribus just went nuclear.

In the season one finale of the AppleTV+ series, Rhea Seehorn‘s character Carol Sturka, aka “the most miserable person on earth,” was ready to raise the stakes against the Others after discovering that her time living free of the hive mind virus might be limited.

Meanwhile, Manousos (Carlos Manuel Vesga), who—along with Carol—is one of 13 people on earth also free of the virus, finally reached Carol in Albuquerque after a treacherous journey from Paraguay. And while the two initially got off to a rocky start, Carol agreed with Manousos that drastic measures were needed to save the world. Carol followed up on the question she posed back in episode three: would the Others give her an atom bomb if she requested one? The answer is yes.

While we’ll have to wait until season two to see exactly what Carol has planned, the show’s stars Rhea and Karolina Wydra (Zosia) sat down with E! News for an exclusive interview where they reacted to fan theories, including popular online speculation that Carol is actually an alien, which would explain her immunity to the virus.

Rhea’s reaction? “I don’t think so,” she said with a laugh. “But sure, hold onto that.”
