Samsung is expected to confirm the Galaxy S26 series launch date any day now, but ahead of the official announcement, fresh leaks continue to surface. The latest rumour sheds light on the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s wireless charging capabilities.

According to prominent tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will not feature built-in magnets in its body, which are required for MagSafe-like functionality.

While the phone is rumoured to support Qi2 wireless charging, the lack of integrated magnets means it will have to rely on compatible magnetic cases instead. At present, Google’s Pixel 10 series is the only Android lineup to include built-in magnets that enable full Qi2 wireless charging support.

Recent leaks have revealed a range of official accessories for the Galaxy S26 series, including magnetic cases, a magnetic power bank, and a magnetic charger. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumoured to support up to 25W wireless charging, while the base Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ may be limited to 20W.

The Galaxy S26 series is expected to be unveiled on February 25.
