Huawei’s P70 was expected to launch this month in China, but a few new rumors from the country now claim that’s been delayed. The P70 series should now become official next month, probably in late April actually.
Initially, when this rumor came out, there was a lot of speculation in China about the reason being some supply chain problems – which wouldn’t be surprising considering how Huawei has now been operating for years under heavy restrictions imposed onto it by the US Government.

And yet, one tipster on Weibo came out and flat out denied that the delay has anything to do with the supply chain. Instead, it’s a complicated combination of things, with many other products being announced alongside the P70. The company will also still hold a launch event this month, but for different stuff. So it looks like Huawei has a very busy few weeks ahead.
The P70 is rumored to come with a 50 MP variable aperture main camera, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 4x optical zoom 50 MP telephoto, a “1.5K” 6.7-inch OLED screen, and a 5,000 mAh battery. It will be powered by the Kirin 9010 SoC.
