A med student enrolled in ultrasound classes in Southern California has won the keys to a brand-new $2.2 million luxury home in Irvine, courtesy of Pechanga Resort Casino.
The Pechanga Resort Casino recently concluded its monthslong “Home Sweet Win” promotion. The marketing ploy provided Pechanga Rewards Card members with chances to become one of 20 Lucky Key Finalists with a shot at winning the fully furnished multimillion-dollar home.
Pechanga reports that Anahy M. was one of the lucky finalists who won a chance to play for the luxury home. Anahy emerged as the grand finale winner during the home giveaway on Saturday, May 30.
The win is life-changing for Anahy, a mother of a seven-year-old daughter who is studying to become an ultrasound technician.
I moved to Los Angeles from Perris, Ca., to go to school in 2024, but rents are so expensive. We moved into my parents’ garage, not thinking life was going to lead me here. My dream has always been to give my daughter a better future,” Anahy said.
The converted garage measures just 500 square feet, Anahy revealed. She’s now upgrading her living conditions to a $2.2 million paradise.
Pechanga Rewards Promotion
Pechanga’s Home Sweet Win promotion brought 20 lucky finalists to the tribal casino that’s owned and operated by the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians. The finalists were randomly selected, with rewards members gaining entries on every slot machine spin and table game bet.
The 20 finalists were each given a key during the grand finale event. Each took a turn trying to open a door until Anahy unlatched the lock, making her the new owner of the custom-built home from Taylor Morrison, a national homebuilder. Home renovation star Ty Pennington served as the finale’s emcee.
Two of the other Home Sweet Win finalists took home $50,000 cash prizes.
“There’s nothing quite like watching someone’s life change in a single moment,” said Sean Vasquez, president of the Pechanga Development Corporation. “On Saturday, that moment belonged to Anahy and her family, and the joy in that room is exactly why we created Home Sweet Win.”
Anahy’s new home is located in Orange County. She is responsible for all taxes and fees, including federal and state income taxes, property taxes, and title and property insurance.
A regular at Pechanga, Anahy said she won a $10,000 slot machine jackpot earlier this year.
Pechanga Casino
Pechanga is one of the country’s largest casinos, with the 200,000-square-foot gaming floor fixed with 5,500 slot machines and 150 live dealer table games. The resort includes 1,100 guestrooms, 14 restaurants and bars, a concert venue, convention facilities, a spa and fitness complex, a retail shopping mall, and an 18-hole golf course.
The Cove is a 4.5-acre pool oasis, with the main pool measuring 7,500 square feet with a swim-up bar.
