The latest addition to Honor’s X-series is now live in China with the Honor X80i. It brings a bright 120Hz AMOLED display, a 7,000mAh battery with 45W charging and is the first phone to launch with MediaTek’s Dimensity 6500 chipset.

Strangely enough, MediaTek has not officially announced the Dimensity 6500, but Honor’s listing reveals a few key details. It features an eight-core CPU with 2x Cortex-A76 cores running at 2.6GHz alongside 6x Cortex-A55 units at 2.0GHz. We also get confirmation that the chip is equipped with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU just like the Dimensity 6400 and its predecessors.

As for the rest of the X80i’s specs, it features a 6.6-inch AMOLED with 1,200 x 2,600px resolution alongside a 120Hz refresh rate and peak local brightness of 6,500 nits. It is configurable with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage and features IP66 ingress protection.

The back houses a 50MP main cam with an f/1.8 aperture alongside an unspecified secondary sensor and LED flash. As per Honor’s in-house tests, the 7,000mAh battery inside the X80i is rated at up to 22 hours of video playback and offers 45W wired charging. The phone boots MagicOS 10, based on Android 16, complete with Honor’s AI suite.

Honor X80i comes in black, green, pink and white colors. It starts at CNY 1,999 ($290) for the baseline 8/128GB trim and goes up to CNY 2,799 ($407) for the 12/512GB version. The device is already listed on Honor’s official online shop in China, with first shipments set for April 10.
