- Planet Hollywood’s next bet is in Georgia
- The company is licensing its brand for a casino resort in Tbilisi
- Currently, there is only one Planet Hollywood casino
Planet Hollywood Resorts International is moving forward with an integrated resort casino in Tbilisi, Georgia, that will include a 50,000-square-foot casino. It will mark the country’s first integrated resort, the all-encompassing concept tailored to keeping guests on the property.

Planet Hollywood is a hospitality and entertainment conglomerate that combines the glitz and glamour of Hollywood with immersive guest experiences across lodging, gaming, restaurants, retail, and entertainment. Englishman Robert Earl, who founded the brand in 1991 with celebrity investments from Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Demi Moore, and Sylvester Stallone, retains ownership of the company.
Earl and PH remain focused on international development. The company opened Hollywood Thane City in India in November 2022. Planet Hollywood’s next bet will be in Georgia.
This represents a defining step in the continued global evolution of the Planet Hollywood brand. Tbilisi is a city with extraordinary character and momentum,” said Earl.
“Together with our partners, we are creating a destination that brings together entertainment, hospitality, and immersive experiences in a way that is both ambitious and authentic to the market,” Earl added.
Georgia Casinos
Georgia legalized most forms of gambling after the fall of the Soviet Union. Casinos experienced considerable growth in the 2000s, with Turkish tourists primarily targeted.
Most casinos in Georgia are boutique gaming venues inside hotels and resorts, significantly smaller than the Planet Hollywood Resort Casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
In Tbilisi, Georgia’s capital, the largest casino is Casino Adjara, which has about 300 slot machines and 50 live dealer table games. Planet Hollywood Las Vegas has approximately 875 slot machines, 67 table games, a 23-table poker room, and a sportsbook.
Planet Hollywood Tbilisi will fall somewhere in between. At 50,000 square feet, the casino will have ample space for over 500 slots and dozens of table games.
Along with the casino, Planet Hollywood Tbilisi will include a 500-room Planet Hollywood hotel and a 600-room Radisson Blu luxury tower. The destination will be complemented by a 4,000-seat concert venue and 70,000 square feet of retail, dining, and nightlife.
Georgia-based real estate group Orbi Group and diversified investment and development firm Block Group are building the integrated resort casino complex. Orbi and Block are utilizing the Planet Hollywood brand through a licensing agreement.
Mark Advent, who is cited for partially conceiving New York-New York on the Las Vegas Strip, is also involved in the Tbilisi undertaking.
Additional details regarding an online timeline will be announced in the coming months. No investment budget was detailed.
Planet Hollywood Brand
There are five Planet Hollywood resorts on planet Earth, but only Las Vegas has a casino. While once associated with gimmicky movie and celebrity memorabilia, Planet Hollywood has focused on a more upscale offering in recent years.
PH Goa, for example, is a five-star hotel with an emphasis on wellness. The property features yoga, spiritual coaching and consultation, meditation, and astrology programs.
