Google introduced AirDrop support in Quick Share on the Pixel 10 series last year, making it easier to share files with iPhone users. Now, the company is expanding this feature to more devices.

In an official X post, Google confirmed that the Pixel 9 series is receiving AirDrop support in Quick Share. The feature will be rolled out to the base Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold in the coming days.

The Pixel 9 series will now be able to share files with iPhone users in Quick Share. The feature should be available via a server-side update or via a software update.

If you’re feeling left out, Google recently revealed that it plans to bring AirDrop compatibility in Quick Share to more Android devices beyond the Pixel series.
