Margot Robbie Shares Insight Into Intimate Scenes With ‘Wuthering Heights’ Costar Jacob Elordi

Heathcliff and Catherine might be toxic, but Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi are not slippin’ under.

Ahead of Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights hitting theaters Feb. 13, the Barbie actress admitted that the intimate scenes between the star-crossed literary couple—first depicted in Emily Brontë’s iconic 1847 novel—were far less steamy than what was put to page.

“I think those scenes often end up being quite technical,” Margot told E! News’ Will Marfuggi. “They require quite a bit of choreography. There’s actually a lot more ‘in the moment’ feelings in other scenes.”

Indeed, while Margot and Jacob didn’t actually get steamy when the script called for it, the 35-year-old shared that they’d certainly get caught in the heat of the moment when it came to the characters’ verbal altercations.

“I think sometimes argument scenes end up being the ones where you’re like, ‘Oh wow we’re all kind of building up now and we’re all kind of in the moment,’” Margot explained. “It doesn’t require a ton of specific choreography.”
