Team Yandex advanced on Saturday to the grand final, awaiting the winner of Team Spirit vs. PARIVISION in the DreamLeague Season 27 playoffs.
Team Spirit and PARIVISION will battle in Sunday’s lower-bracket final to determine the remaining berth in the grand final later that day.
The $1 million Dota 2 event began with 24 teams competing in a Swiss System group stage. All matches were best-of-three, with the top eight teams advancing to the double-elimination playoffs.
Playoff matches will all be best-of-three ahead of the best-of-five grand final.
The championship team will receive $200,000 in prize money and a $30,000 club reward. The runner-up side will get $125,000 and a $25,000 club reward.
Team Yandex swept Team Spirit 2-0 in the upper-bracket final on Saturday, triumphing in 42 minutes and 43 minutes, both on red.
Ilya “CHIRA JUNIOR” Chirtsov of Russia led Team Yandex with a total kills-deaths-assists ratio of 21-5-28.
PARIVISION knocked out OG 2-1 in the lower-bracket quarterfinal, rallying from a 34-minute loss on green to win in 42 minutes and 38 minutes, both on green.
That advanced PARIVISION to the lower-bracket semifinal against Xtreme Gaming, and the winning continued with a 2-0 sweep. PARIVISION won in 45 minutes on red and 20 minutes on green.
