Honor just unveiled an entry-level smartphone dubbed the Honor Play10. Unlike Play-series models, including the Play10C<\/a> from a month ago, this one is a 4G-only phone \u2013 and it runs Android Go edition.<\/p>\n

This model is powered by the Helio G81. It comes in two configurations \u2013 3\/64GB and 4\/128GB. Now, 4GB would be pretty tight, but we\u2019ve seen phones with that much RAM run full Android instead of Go edition (including the Play10C). Anyway, at least it\u2019s better than the Play9A<\/a>, which used the Helio G36. Also, storage is expandable via microSD cards up to 1TB.<\/p>\n

The Play10 is equipped with a 6.74\u201d display, an LCD with 720 x 1,600px resolution. There\u2019s a 5MP selfie camera in a notch on the front and a 13MP camera on the back. Both cameras support 1080p video recording.<\/p>\n

The phone runs off a 5,000mAh battery that is hobbled by the basic USB-C 2.0 port, which only handles 10W charging.<\/p>\n

The phone has basic ingress protection (IP52) and measures 167.7 x 77.7 x 8.55mm and weighs 189g. It comes in Ocean Cyan, Starry Purple and Midnight Black.<\/p>\n

Besides the microSD slot, you may be pleased to hear that the Play10 also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and it has an FM radio receiver. A fingerprint reader is on board, but there\u2019s no NFC support. Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and Bluetooth 5.1 are supported.<\/p>\n

We haven\u2019t seen pricing for the Honor Play10 yet, but we imagine that in the most common case this will be a \u201cfree on contract\u201d type of deal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
