The other night, my kids and I were talking about our favorite seasons, and my answer was immediate: fall. I love crunching through orange leaves and spotting toddlers wearing giant backpacks. Best of all, though, is pulling cozy clothes out of the closet. Here are five pieces I\u2019m looking forward to wearing\u2026<\/p>\n

1. Barn jacket.<\/strong> J.Crew\u2019s famous for their 1983 style<\/a>, but I\u2019m even more into Madewell\u2019s denim version<\/a> and cropped waxed one<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"5<\/p>\n

2. Brown corduroy.<\/strong> Nothing feels more autumnal than brown corduroy; give me all the rich shades and soft textures. Five pieces: short dress<\/a>, long dress<\/a>, long pant<\/a>, cropped pant<\/a>, and overalls<\/a>. (Also, if money were no object<\/a>!!)<\/p>\n

\"5<\/p>\n

3. Rugby shirts.<\/strong> My dad<\/a> played rugby in high school and college, and he\u2019s famous for saying, \u201crugby is like football but without pads or helmets.\u201d I\u2019m a delicate flower and would never step foot on a pitch, but I do love the look of rugby shirts. Sporty style is huge this fall, and here are three great looks: brown<\/a>, cream<\/a>, and green<\/a>.<\/p>\n

4. Track pants.<\/strong> Speaking of sporty, I\u2019ve been spotting lots of women in Brooklyn wearing track pants with sweaters. The combo looks chic but feels like pajamas. The Adidas ones<\/a> are the classic, and Universal Standard<\/a> has a bunch of cool colors. Also, my friend Jessie<\/a> just made a pair with wavy ric-rac stripes<\/a>!<\/p>\n

\"5<\/p>\n

5. Red flats.<\/strong> The viral S\u00e9zane pair<\/a> has sold out (although hopefully will come back), but here are two similar styles: ballet<\/a> and shiny<\/a>. They brighten up any outfit with that pop of color.<\/p>\n

Thoughts? What are you excited to wear as the weather gets crisper? I also love this brown sweater<\/a> with just one button buttoned.<\/strong><\/p>\n
