The startup <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/03\/26\/rivian-spins-out-a-new-micromobility-startup-called-also-with-105m-from-eclipse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">raised $105 million from Eclipse Ventures<\/a> earlier this year when it was cleaved from Rivian.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also started as a skunkworks team inside Rivian in 2022 known as Project Inder, as <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/06\/13\/techcrunch-mobility-the-cost-of-waymo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TechCrunch previously reported<\/a>. The team started working on an e-bike and even tapped famed Apple designer Jony Ive\u2019s firm LoveFrom to <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/06\/06\/jony-ives-lovefrom-helped-design-rivians-first-electric-bike\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">help with the project<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now established as its own company, Also plans to make micro-EVs of all shapes and sizes, and is supposed to reveal the first designs at some point later this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rivian and Also could not be reached for comment.
