Annual SF Pride Parade Focuses on Queer Joy as Resistance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Organizers say the event brings in nearly a million people every year, making it one of the largest Pride celebrations in the world.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of this year\u2019s festival \u2013 which spans the whole weekend \u2013 is \u201cQueer Joy is Resistance,\u201d which resonated with many in attendance, who said it not only tapped into Pride\u2019s roots in the Stonewall riots in 1969 but also the continued attacks on the LGBTQ community from President Trump and his said Lara Starr, a member of Free Mom Hugs, a nationwide organization that focuses on celebrating the LGBTQ community. \u201cIt is exhausting, but we got to keep turning out.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure
