Kate Upton<\/strong><\/a> and husband <\/span>Justin Verlander <\/strong>just expanded their roster.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Sports Illustrated Swimsuit<\/span><\/em><\/a> model and <\/span>MLB<\/span><\/a> pitcher scored a home run by welcoming son <\/span>Bellamy Brooks Verlander<\/strong> June 19, a rep for Kate confirmed to <\/span>People<\/span><\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Before growing their family, the couple\u2014who <\/span>tied the knot<\/span><\/a> in 2017\u2014were already parents to 6-year-old daughter <\/span>Genevieve<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Though neither Kate nor Justin have spoken out about their newest addition, the San Francisco Giants confirmed in a June 20 post to <\/span>X (formerly Twitter)<\/span><\/a> that the athlete had been removed from the roster and \u201cplaced on the Paternity List.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n While the pair prefer to keep their family life out of the spotlight, Kate has given a few peeks into her experience of being a mom, which has included some hilarious exchanges with her toddler.<\/span><\/p>\n “She just recently told me that she thought I was a tennis player,” the 33-year-old told <\/span>E! News<\/span><\/a> in May 2024. “She knew I would go play tennis for fun. So I guess because Justin is athletic and plays baseball, she’s like, \u2018That’s a job!'”<\/span><\/p>\n
