David Muir<\/strong><\/a> is breaking the news on how he feels about being a \u201cdaddy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n In response to social media users bestowing the looks-affirming title upon the <\/span>World News Tonight <\/span><\/em>host\u2014and even creating a blog called <\/span>Gimme Gimme Muir<\/span><\/em><\/a> to lean into it\u2014the 51-year-old shared his reaction to the hilarious trend.<\/span><\/p>\n “People will forward TikTok videos, but only because they are laughing out loud at them and making fun of me and saying, ‘When did you become Daddy?’\u201d David told <\/span>People<\/span><\/em><\/a> <\/span><\/em>in an interview published May 30. \u201cSo I don’t know whether that happens when you hit 50 or what, but I’ll take it as a compliment, I think.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Through laughter, he added, “Maybe it’s lost on me, but I guess Daddy’s better than the alternative.”<\/span><\/p>\n But what makes the journalist chuckle even more is the truth that he doesn\u2019t necessarily love dressing the part of news anchor.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAnyone who works with me knows that I am so uncomfortable even having to put on the tux,\u201d David continued. \u201cSo the fact that I survive those events is still a surprise to me without looking like a total nerd.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
