But after three seasons, NBC has called it a day.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, the series finale \u2014 aptly titled \u201cA Decent Proposal\u201d \u2014 will now serve as the show\u2019s swan song. Warner Bros. is reportedly shopping the series elsewhere, which may give fans a glimmer of hope. It was gritty, emotional, and deeply human in a way few network dramas manage to be.<\/p>\n<p>The series also took risks, especially with its twisty dynamic between Gabi and her former kidnapper, played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar. That relationship alone was enough to spark watercooler talk \u2014 and it did, thanks to some stellar storytelling and tight pacing in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvfanatic.com\/?show=found&amp;season=season-1\">Found Season 1<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, risk doesn\u2019t always equal reward in the ratings. NBC gave the show a shot with a second season, but even strong reviews and a fiercely loyal fanbase couldn\u2019t save it from the chopping block.<\/p>\n<p>For viewers \u2014 and for those of us who followed this one closely \u2014 it\u2019s a loss. Found had something to say, and it said it well. But times have changed \u2014 and so has NBC\u2019s game plan.<\/p>\n<p>In July 2024, NBCUniversal struck an 11-year deal with the NBA and WNBA to bring basketball back to the network starting next season. <\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a major investment, and it will take up a lot of real estate across NBC, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvfanatic.com\/networks\/peacock\/\">Peacock<\/a>, and USA Network. Between regular-season games, playoffs, and streaming exclusives, the network is about to be full-court press.<\/p>\n<p>What does that mean for scripted TV? Fewer time slots. More budget pressure.
