{"id":94105,"date":"2025-05-01T05:11:27","date_gmt":"2025-05-01T05:11:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/neclink.com\/index.php\/2025\/05\/01\/allison-lanier-leaves-the-young-and-the-restless\/"},"modified":"2025-05-01T05:11:27","modified_gmt":"2025-05-01T05:11:27","slug":"allison-lanier-leaves-the-young-and-the-restless","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/neclink.com\/index.php\/2025\/05\/01\/allison-lanier-leaves-the-young-and-the-restless\/","title":{"rendered":"Allison Lanier Leaves The Young and the Restless"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div data-testid=\"segment-text-only\">\n<p><strong>Allison Lanier<\/strong>&#8216;s time on <em>The Young and the Restless<\/em> is coming to an end.<\/p>\n<p>The actress, who plays Summer Newman on the CBS soap opera, announced April 30 that she will be leaving the show after almost three years.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This Friday, May 2nd, will be my last episode on Y&amp;R!&#8221; Allison <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AllisonVLanier\/status\/1917614925528051847\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wrote on X<\/a>, formerly Twitter. &#8220;I&#8217;ve loved the journey and learned so much but it&#8217;s time to grow in a different direction.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The 34-year-old, who earned her first <a href=\"https:\/\/eonline.com\/news\/emmys\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Daytime Emmy<\/a> nomination last year, added that she feels &#8220;very grateful for all of the Y&amp;R fans who have supported me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Allison joined the cast in May 2022, playing the daughter of legacy characters Phyllis Summers (<strong>Michelle Stafford)<\/strong> and Nick Newman (<strong>Joshua Morrow<\/strong>). She succeeded the role from <strong>Hunter King<\/strong>, who was on the show on-and-off from 2012 to 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The character was first introduced in 2006 with various child actors playing the part.
