What do you pack for trips? In early May, I\u2019m heading to Paris for a mix of work and pleasure, and I\u2019m really looking forward to it. I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve ever been to Paris in the spring \u2014 past trips were in the winter<\/a> \u2014\u00a0and I can\u2019t wait to see flowers blooming! Here\u2019s what I\u2019m packing in my carry-on, and I\u2019d love to hear your list\u2026<\/p>\n 1. When we were abroad a few years ago, I spotted women wearing very oversized shirts, and I fell in love with the effortlessly chic look. I have this white one<\/a> to mix and match with the rest of my suitcase.<\/p>\n 2. T-shirts shirts fold up into the teeniest squares, so I bring a mini stack of white ones<\/a>, plus a striped long-sleeve<\/a>, to rotate through the week.<\/p>\n 3. Along with well-made basics, I also love bringing a delicate, pretty piece. This floral top<\/a> floats on your skin, it feels like a kiss. (There are a bunch on Poshmark<\/a> and eBay<\/a>, too.)<\/p>\n 4. Do you have anything you\u2019ve worn countless times? I just realized that, for the past 9-10 years, I\u2019ve brought this thin navy sweater<\/a> on every single trip! It\u2019s light enough to wear year-round, and versatile enough to wear on a plane, to a nice dinner, wherever you want. Glad to report that my cost-per-wear at this point is like $1.<\/p>\n 5. Two pairs of jeans: one blue<\/a>, one black<\/a>. This black style is especially great \u2014\u00a0fits so, so well and has enough stretch to almost feel like sweatpants.<\/p>\n 6. Barn jackets are all over NYC, and this white one<\/a> with a corduroy collar feels so fresh for spring. The fit\u2019s a little big, so maybe size down if you try it!<\/p>\n 7. I\u2019ve lived in a silky blue shirt<\/a> this winter (evidence A<\/a>, B<\/a>), so when I found out they make a dress version<\/a>, I was THRILLED. Spring uniform, unlocked.<\/p>\n 8. For drinks and dinners \u2014 both at home and on trips \u2014\u00a0I\u2019m looking forward to slipping on this lovely dress<\/a>. Just add freckled shoulders:)<\/p>\n 9. My trusty Away rolling carry-on<\/a>, of course.<\/p>\n 10. And pajamas<\/a> for padding around the rental apartment and making buttery toast in the morning.<\/p>\n 11. Finally, I\u2019m bringing white sneakers<\/a> for long walks around the city. This particular pair is cushioned and comfy enough to avoid blisters and achy feet.<\/p>\n 12. Plus, pink ballet flats<\/a>. This pair is splurgy, but these two are also nice: square<\/a> and round<\/a>. Sidenote: My friend Alison wears actual ballet slippers around the house, and they\u2019re so cute!<\/p>\n P.S.
