For our \u201cSin\u201d issue, I reached out to a jewelry thief, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smh.com.au\/entertainment\/books\/king-of-cat-burglars-20040503-gdius4.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bill Mason<\/a>, who had just gotten out of jail. Similar to Jon Hamm\u2019s character, he had charmed his way into high society and then stolen more than $35 million worth of jewelry from people he met at parties, including Phyllis Diller, Bob Hope, and Truman Capote. (!!!)
