Keri Hilson<\/strong><\/a> didn’t intend to knock anyone down.\u00a0<\/p>\n The “Pretty Girl Rock” singer got candid about her regret over recording her 2009 remix “Turnin’ Me On,” which included a verse that many fans have interpreted to be a Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong><\/a> diss.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n “It\u2019s a regret,” Keri admitted during an April 9 appearance on The Breakfast Club<\/em><\/a> radio show. “But not in the way people would think because that\u2019s a song I actually didn\u2019t write. Those are not my words.”<\/p>\n In fact, the “Knock You Down” artist said that she tried to cut the verse from the track when Polow da Don<\/strong>\u2014who produced “Turnin’ Me On” alongside Timbaland<\/strong>\u2014first played her the additional lyrics, which were originally written by Ester Dean<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n “Automatically, I was like, \u2018I\u2019m not saying that,'” Keri recalled. “That was my position.'”<\/p>\n As for which lyrics she didn’t want to sing? The verse in question read, “Your vision cloudy if you think that you\u2019re the best \/ You can dance, she can sing, but she need to move it to the left, left \/ \u00a0She need to go have some babies.
