Miller Gardner Case: Authorities Update Teen\u2019s Cause of Death After Preliminary Ruling<\/p>\n
The Costa Rican hotel where <\/span>Miller Gardner<\/strong><\/a> died has spoken out.<\/span><\/p>\n Two days after former Yankees outfielder <\/span>Brett Gardner<\/strong> and his wife <\/span>Jessica Gardner <\/strong>announced the sudden death<\/span><\/a> of their 14-year-old son, the Arenas Del Mar Beachfront & Rainforest Resort where the family was vacationing shared their condolences.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe are deeply saddened by this loss, and our hearts go out to the family during this incredibly difficult time,\u201d a representative for the hotel said in a March 25 statement to <\/span>People<\/span><\/em><\/a>. \u201cThe factors that led to this tragic incident are unknown, and we are fully cooperating with authorities as they investigate.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The resort added, \u201cWe remain committed to supporting our guests and staff, prioritizing their well-being and safety, while respecting the privacy of those affected.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The hotel also denied responsibility for the four Gardner family members <\/span>falling ill<\/span><\/a> after visiting a nearby restaurant on March 20, hours before Miller\u2019s death.<\/span><\/p>\n “The family did not eat at any of Arenas Del Mar\u2019s restaurants for lunch or dinner the previous day,\u201d the resort\u2019s rep continued. \u201cAdditionally, on March 14th, we had an inspection by the Health Ministry in which the hotel passed with a 98.5 out of 100.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
