Factories are all the rage in defense tech: Anduril announced a billion-dollar \u201cmegafactory\u201d in Ohio<\/a> earlier this year, while Saronic said last month it\u2019s planning its own factory to mass-produce autonomous warships.<\/a><\/p>\n Now, Anduril is considering building a factory in the U.K. as it expands beyond U.S. defense contracts.<\/p>\n \u201cIf we get enough orders, absolutely we are planning to open a facility in the UK,\u201d Rich Drake, Anduril\u2019s general manager for U.K. and Europe, told Bloomberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n Anduril would use the factory for drones and R&D and might choose somewhere near Oxford and Cambridge, Sifted reported earlier<\/a>.<\/p>\n European defense budgets are breaking records<\/a> as the U.S. winds down<\/a> aid to Ukraine, so there\u2019s plenty of opportunities.<\/p>\n Anduril, which is based in California and is reportedly in talks to raise at a $28 billion valuation<\/a>, didn\u2019t respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
