Mandatory Credit: Steven Bisig-Imagn Images<!-- --> <!-- --> <\/span><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"section-1\">\n<p>Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf requested a trade Wednesday, according to multiple reports.<\/p>\n<p>The news came hours after the Seahawks <a href=\"https:\/\/deadspin.com\/seahawks-release-veteran-wr-tyler-lockett\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">released fellow wide receiver Tyler Lockett<\/a>, who had been with the team since 2015. Seattle is giving Metcalf <a href=\"https:\/\/deadspin.com\/reports-seahawks-give-wr-dk-metcalf-ok-to-seek-trade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">permission to seek a trade partner<\/a>, signaling the team is embracing a full-scale rebuild.<\/p>\n<p>While Lockett is free to sign with any team, Metcalf will need to find a trade partner after playing six seasons in Seattle.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few teams expected to be interested:<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"los-angeles-chargers\" class=\" uppercase break-words\">Los Angeles Chargers<\/h2>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"2\" class=\" w-full\">\n<div class=\"xl:container mx-0 !px-0 py-0 pb-4 undefined\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.deadspin.com\/tr:w-900\/1741209506097\" srcset=\"https:\/\/images.deadspin.com\/tr:w-900\/1741209506097\" alt=\"Jan 15, 2025; El Segundo, CA, USA; Los Angeles Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh at a press conference at The Bolt. Mandatory Credit: Charles LeClaire-Imagn Images<!-- --> <!-- --> <\/span><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"section-7\">\n<p>Until the Steelers land a wide receiver, they\u2019re bound to be involved in these types of discussions.<\/p>\n<p>George Pickens is a strong option, but he has been inconsistent on the field, and off of it, his reliability remains a question mark.<\/p>\n<p>Somehow, the Steelers defied the odds and made the NFL playoffs last season, but it was not pretty. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/uk\/nfl\/pittsburgh-steelers\/news\/steelers-justin-fields-nfl-free-agency-russell-wilson\/f3230f80165edb9cc68cc4c5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to reports<\/a>, they plan to offer Justin Fields a new contract in free agency.<\/p>\n<p>Fields and Russell Wilson split time at quarterback last season for Pittsburgh due to injuries and inconsistent play.
