President Donald Trump<\/a><\/strong>‘s latest address in the U.S. Capitol has experienced a slight hiccup.<\/p>\n Rep. Al Green<\/strong>\u2014an 11-term Democrat from Texas\u2014was ejected from the chamber floor for verbally interrupting the 78-year-old’s speech during a joint session of Congress.<\/p>\n “You have no mandate,” Green shouted at Trump, after the POTUS said his 2024 presidential election<\/a> against Vice President Kamala Harris<\/strong><\/a> was “a mandate like has not been seen in many decades.”<\/p>\n House Speaker Mike Johnson <\/strong>(R-La.) then requested that Green take his seat, before ordering for the 77-year-old’s removal when he failed to comply with the direction.<\/p>\n “Finding that members continue to engage in willful and concerted disruption of proper decorum,” Johnson read from the rulebook, “the Chair now directs the Sergeant at Arms to restore order and remove this gentleman from the chamber.”<\/p>\n Green was escorted out by security and House Sergeant at Arms Ronny Jackson <\/strong>(R-Texas) as Republicans chanted, “Nah nah nah nah, goodbye,” according to NBC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
