The issue, which seems to have been <a data-i13n=\"cpos:1;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@user9586420191789\/video\/7472830639327366446\"><\/a> by TikTok users, crops up when using the voice-to-text feature in Apple apps like Messages.<\/p>\n<p>When speaking the word \u201cracist,\u201d iOS briefly transcribes the text as \u201cTrump\u201d before changing it back to the intended word. It\u2019s not clear what could cause this behavior. That also doesn&#039;t explain why &quot;racist,&quot; with a lowercase &quot;r&quot; would transcribe as &quot;Trump&quot; \u2014 seemingly a reference to our current president \u2014 and not &quot;trump,&quot; the noun. An AI expert who once worked on Siri told the paper it could be a \u201cserious prank\u201d on the part of an Apple employee.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Apple didn\u2019t immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Whether it\u2019s a bug or prank, it surfaced at a particularly embarrassing time for the iPhone maker, which announced on Monday that it planned to invest <a data-i13n=\"cpos:3;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/big-tech\/apple-plans-to-invest-500-billion-in-the-us-over-the-next-four-years-181217017.html\"><\/a> in manufacturing facilities for AI servers.
