Oppo is expected to launch<\/a> the Find X8 Mini around March-April alongside the Find X8 Ultra<\/a>, when they’ll both join the already available Find X8<\/a> and Find X8 Pro<\/a>. The Mini is clearly inspired by vivo’s success in China with the X200 Pro mini<\/a>, and we’ve heard that OnePlus will also have its very own smaller device<\/a> soon – this is likely to be at least based on, if not identical to the Find X8 Mini.<\/p>\n

Today from Digital Chat Station in China come more details about the Find X8 Mini. It will allegedly have a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED flat screen with “1.5K” resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, a flat metal frame, the new press-type button<\/a> that will replace the alert slider, and a rear camera arrangement that will be apparently similar to that employed by the also-upcoming Oppo Find N5<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Find X8 Mini will have a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 50 MP “ultra-thin” periscope telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom, possibly using Samsung’s ISOCELL JN5 sensor. The device weighs between 180g and 189g and will support 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. It will also be “very thin”. The Find X8 Mini will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 SoC just like the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro.<\/p>\n
