It\u2019s trouble in paradise for Bailan on The Rookie Season 7 Episode 6, but they may not be the only couple facing some friction.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Everything may come to a head during a charity gala on Valentine\u2019s Day. What can of Valentine\u2019s Day will The Rookie<\/a> deliver? A romantic one or a massacre?<\/p>\n

Nolan Will Confront Bailey about Jason\u2019s Death\u00a0<\/h2>\n

Bailey\u2019s partnership with Malvado was fruitful. No one has to worry about her skeezy, abusive ex with an ax to grind and a determination to get back at Bailey because now he\u2019s pushing up astroturf.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, it\u2019s shady that a paramedic joined forces with a hired hitman to go after a fugitive, and it\u2019s a less-than-ideal situation when your husband is LAPD.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nolan found the burner phone at the end of The Rookie Season 7 Episode 5<\/a>, and now he has some questions about his wife\u2019s involvement with Jason\u2019s assassination.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t take a genius to put two and two together, and now that he has these suspicions, it presents a moral and ethical conundrum for Nolan as he must grapple with what to do with his wife.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Will he turn her over or consult someone? We\u2019ll have to say, but one has to wonder if he\u2019ll communicate with Malvado or even attempt to bring him instead.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nolan Works a Missing Persons Case with Celina<\/h2>\n

In the meantime, he\u2019ll tackle a case with Celina that includes searching for a missing girl. Nolan is rarely able to keep much away from Celina, so we\u2019ll have to see if she becomes his confidant.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Since it\u2019s Valentine\u2019s Day, there\u2019s a great deal on the agenda, but one of the more amusing teases about the hour is that Grey will assign Chenford a non-romantic project.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, will it be the perfect time for sparks to fly between them again? Also, what does an unromantic task entail?\u00a0<\/p>\n

The hour is titled \u201cThe Gala,\u201d referring to a charity event, so maybe Chenford will have to join forces to prepare for it, and we\u2019ll get some quality content for the two that continues to move them forward in this song-and-dance they\u2019re doing.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Genny Returns, But Will Chenford\u2019s Romance Return on Valentine\u2019s Day?<\/h2>\n

Genny\u2019s return is also an intriguing development for the hour. One has to wonder if perhaps she helped plan the charity gala, and maybe that\u2019s why she\u2019s featured there and looking as gorgeous as ever.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Of course, we also catch glimpses of her in either her or Tim\u2019s apartment, and there seems to be the usual sibling chiding. Maybe she\u2019s on his butt about screwing things up with Lucy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The charity gala will be where all the action and excitement happens, and it\u2019ll test some of The Rookie\u2019s couples.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If I had to guess, I\u2019d say Grey and Luna are the only pairing who may not face any issues. They\u2019re solid as a rock and have become a grounding pair within the series.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Luna appears to be having a good time at the gala, and Grey\u2019s having a ball chatting it up with Nolan and even Lucy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Which Couples Will Struggle at the Gala?<\/h2>\n

Things appear okay with Angela and Wesley, as they haven\u2019t had too many issues. However, one has to wonder if Wesley\u2019s jealousy over Graham will eventually come out.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He\u2019s been holding this secret about Graham\u2019s interest in his wife, but if Graham is there and says or does something inappropriate, it may be the perfect time for something to happen and this jealousy arc to come to a head.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One of the more concerning couples that are at the forefront of my mind, however, is Nyla and James.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nyla looks stunning in her ensemble, and I love any opportunity to see her dressed up.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tension Between Nyla and James Could Reach a Boiling Point<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s no surprise that she and James are hanging out with their best friends, Angela and Wesley, nor is it that the bromance is going strong between Wesley and James.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But something is brewing between Nyla and James. There is a detachment, and it\u2019s concerning that they haven\u2019t been on the same page.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Little things like James\u2019 activism work clashing with Nyla\u2019s position as a cop have blown up significantly this season, and we don\u2019t know what\u2019s at the root of their problem.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t feel as if their marriage is long for this world, and it\u2019s upsetting, given everything both have endured.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We haven\u2019t exactly seen James around while Nyla has struggled with the events of that needle jab and a serial killer coming after her. These days, she has more chemistry with the killer than her husband.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If the hour is teasing that things will come to a head for some of The Rookie\u2019s couples, one has to wonder if there\u2019s a bleak element for Nyla and James.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Have Miles and His Longtime Girlfriend Grown Apart?<\/h2>\n

Out of everyone there, they seem the least likely to survive the night on the best terms.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Of course, there\u2019s also a new couple, Miles and Camille, who will also have some screen time after she surprises Miles by moving to Los Angeles for him.\u00a0<\/p>\n

They\u2019re high school sweethearts, and she\u2019s been through all the ups and downs in Miles\u2019 life, but it didn\u2019t seem like he was the happiest about her arrival even though he\u2019s spoken so fondly about her to his colleagues.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There\u2019s something more to that and his feelings, and maybe we\u2019ll learn what that is by the end of the hour.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We can expect a drama-filled Valentine\u2019s Day installment of The Rookie.\u00a0<\/p>\n
