Joey King<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>is recovering after a cooking accident.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Kissing Booth<\/span><\/em><\/a> <\/span><\/em>alum shared a glimpse of the injuries she sustained to her face as a result of oil splatter, but she\u2019s in good spirits about the ordeal.<\/span><\/p>\n In a collage of pictures uploaded to her Instagram Story Jan. 28, the 25-year-old\u2014who <\/span>tied the knot <\/span><\/a>with husband <\/span>Steven Piet <\/strong>in 2023\u2014showed the various healing stages of the burns on her chin and neck. In one picture where the burns are covered in ointment, Joey lightheartedly held up a peace sign with her hand as she pursed her lips.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI burned myself a few days ago by throwing shallots into a pan of hot oil,\u201d she wrote on the images, hilariously adding, \u201cI called my mom to tell her and she says, \u2018See that\u2019s why I hate cooking.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n But Joey hasn\u2019t inherited that trait from her mom. In fact, she gushed about how much she loves the act during a cooking segment on <\/span>The Drew Barrymore Show<\/span><\/em>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
