It\u2019s <strong>easy to prep<\/strong> in the morning and cooks all day for the tastiest results. Perfect for a Sunday meal or special occasion to <strong>impress family and guests<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list is-style-fancy\">\n<li><strong>Prepare and Season:<\/strong> Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Add the\u00a0<strong>2 tablespoons olive oil<\/strong>\u00a0to a large heavy-bottom <a href=\"https:\/\/www.target.com\/p\/rachael-ray-premium-nitro-cast-iron-dutch-oven-6-5qt-red\/-\/A-87836954#lnk=sametab\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dutch oven<\/a> over medium-high heat. Season the<strong> <\/strong>ribs\u00a0with<strong> <\/strong>salt and pepper, to taste.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flour the Ribs:<\/strong> Place the flour\u00a0on a plate and coat the short ribs in flour on all sides.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sear the Ribs: <\/strong>Add the short ribs to the hot pot to sear the sides until brown. Sear for 1-2 minutes then turn with tongs to sear all sides. Remove the short ribs and set aside on a plate.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cook the Vegetables: <\/strong>Turn the heat down to medium then add the\u00a0carrots, onion, celery, and garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes until they start to soften.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reduce the Wine\/ Add Remaining Ingredients: <\/strong>Pour in the red wine. Bring to a boil for about 1 minute allowing the wine to reduce. Add in the\u00a0broth, tomato paste, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cook: <\/strong>Return the short ribs back to the pot then place the sprigs of rosemary and thyme\u00a0on top of the meat. Cover the pot with a lid and place it in the preheated oven. Cook for 2 to 2 \u00bd hours, or until the short ribs are very tender and pull away from the bone.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Strain the Liquid: <\/strong>To make the gravy, remove the short ribs from the pot and set aside. Using a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.target.com\/p\/goodcook-ready-6-34-mesh-strainer\/-\/A-82399884#lnk=sametab\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">strainer<\/a>, strain the veggies from the liquid.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Boil and Thicken the Gravy: <\/strong>Return the strained liquid back to the pot over medium-high heat.
