Creighton guard Pop Isaacs is expected to undergo surgery to address a lingering hip problem and sit out the rest of the season, The Field of 68 reported Saturday.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

A transfer from Texas Tech, Isaacs had offseason hip surgery. The Field of 68 reported Isaacs continued to experience pain, and his surgeon recommended the procedure now.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The junior has played in eight games (all starts) for the Bluejays (6-3), averaging 16.3 points in 31.6 minutes per game. He has averages of 4.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

In a 76-63 win over No. 1 Kansas on Wednesday, Isaacs scored a game-high 27 points of 10-of-15 shooting, including six 3-pointers.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Last season with Texas Tech, Isaacs started all 34 games for the Red Raiders and averaged 15.8 points in 32.8 minutes per game.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
