The big first-person action-puzzler arrives on Xbox and PC next month and if you\u2019ve been wondering just how big Indy\u2019s next digital adventure will be, well, we don\u2019t have a specific number yet, but it sounds big. <\/p>\n

On November 25, MinnMax<\/em> posted a new rapid fire interview<\/a><\/span> with two of the developers on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.<\/em> During the interview, the devs were asked how long The Great Circle <\/em>is<\/a><\/span> and while they didn\u2019t give a specific hour count, they did provide some context that lets us come up with a rough estimation. <\/p>\n

How long is Indiana Jones and the Great Circle? <\/h2>\n

\u201cBy far this is the biggest and longest game that MachineGames have ever done,\u201d said Great Circle<\/em>\u2019s creative director Axel Torvenius. <\/p>\n

MachineGames\u2019 previous \u201cbiggest\u201d titles<\/a><\/span> include the very good Wolfenstein: The New Order<\/em><\/a><\/span> and its (also good) sequel ,Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.<\/em> Both were fairly large, somewhat linear shooters featuring more open-ended moments and a lot of Nazi killing. That sounds very similar to what we\u2019re getting in The Great Circle. <\/em>Those two games both took about 13-15 hours<\/a><\/span> to complete, assuming you did some side content and didn\u2019t just rush to the end. <\/p>\n

It seems safe to assume that Great Circle<\/em>, which sounds like a much bigger game with maps you can revisit to find missed secrets<\/a><\/span>, will take most players at least 16 hours or more. Based on the fact that the game also includes nearly four hours of cutscenes, as revealed in the MinnMax<\/em> interview, I\u2019d say that it\u2019s probable that Great Circle<\/em> ends up being a 20-hour game for many people, especially if you don\u2019t rush through levels and try to find everything secret and complete all the puzzles. <\/p>\n

On the flip side, it would only take you about 1o hours to watch all five Indiana Jones<\/em> movies<\/a><\/span>. Will this new game feel like five Indiana Jones<\/em> movies smooshed together? We\u2019ll find out soon enough. <\/p>\n

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle <\/em>launches on Xbox, Game Pass, and PC on December 9. If you pre-order the fancy expensive version, you get to play it three days early. The game will also arrive on PlayStation 5 next year<\/a><\/span>. <\/p>\n
