He was 54.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Saafir\u2014born <strong>Reggie Gibson<\/strong>\u2014passed away around 8:45 in the morning while surrounded by friends and family, per the &#8220;X&#8221; rapper.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have so much history I can\u2019t even explain what I\u2019m feeling right now,&#8221; Xzibit wrote in his statement shared to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DCj_iNlS5aE\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Instagram Nov. 19<\/a>. &#8220;We surrounded him and let him know how much we loved him.
