My friend Alison<\/a> just got a surprising tattoo\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen my dad died in 2022<\/a>, I wanted to get a tattoo to celebrate him,\u201d she explained. At first, she considered getting his signature, or maybe a stop watch because he always had one on him. But when she saw the shrimp cocktail, she knew it was perfect.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy dad was obsessed<\/em> with shrimp,\u201d she said. \u201cIf it was on the menu, he would order it. Anytime we went to a buffet, that\u2019s all he\u2019d eat: his plate would be a plate of shrimp. Shrimp cocktail, popcorn shrimp, coconut shrimp\u2026 the man loved shrimp.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople ask me about my tattoo all the time, so I get to talk about my dad, which feels good,\u201d Alison says. \u201cNow I\u2019ve been thinking about what tattoos I\u2019d get for other people I love \u2014\u00a0it\u2019s a fun exercise. I even ask the question at parties! People come up with really funny answers.\u201d<\/p>\n
