Samsung unveiled One UI 6 last year<\/a> at the Samsung Developer Conference 2023 (SDC23). However, One UI 7 has been hit with a series of delays and won\u2019t be out until next year<\/a>, likely launching alongside the Galaxy S25 series. So, this year\u2019s SDC focused on other things<\/a>. But we still may get a peek at what Samsung is cooking \u2013 the company just announced that another SDC will be held later this year.<\/p>\n

Samsung Developer Conference Korea 2024 will be an online event on November 21. You can already sign up on the official site<\/a>, if you are interested. There will be two keynote speeches and a total of 29 sessions where Samsung will share its progress in fields such as on-device generative AI, the future of healthcare and how Samsung Health<\/a> fits in, bringing the Matter protocol to the SmartThings platform and more.<\/p>\n

What about One UI? The press release doesn\u2019t mention it by name, but one keynote will focus on \u201cImproving the user experience of Samsung Electronics’ software and device platforms\u201d and will be led by Samsung Electronics Device Platform Center Vice President Jeong Jae-yeon and Samsung Research Executive Director Kwon Ho-beom. It sounds like we might get a preview of One UI 7 or at least word on when public beta testing will start.<\/p>\n

One UI 7 will bring a brand new look for Samsung\u2019s Android skin and is a major redesign, which is why it\u2019s taking so long. Yesterday, we saw an unofficial video<\/a> that shows off some of the upcoming changes.<\/p>\n
