Eric Roberts<\/strong> is shedding light on his family dynamics.<\/p>\n After offering an apology<\/a> to sister Julia Roberts<\/a><\/strong> for his role in their years-long estrangement, the actor discussed his relationship with daughter Emma Roberts<\/a><\/strong> when asked to name the \u201ctoughest period\u201d of his life.<\/p>\n \u201cProbably the loss of relationship with my daughter,\u201d the Dancing With the Stars<\/a><\/em> contestant said on the Oct. 22 episode of the Inside of You<\/a><\/em> podcast. \u201cThere\u2019s not a pain, there\u2019s a sadness for the, most likely, misunderstandings [that] I\u2019ll have forever. Because we\u2019re human.\u201d<\/p>\n The Pope of Greenwich Village<\/em> star welcomed Emma, now 33, with ex Kelly Cunningham<\/strong> in 1991 and went on to marry wife Eliza Roberts<\/strong> the following year.
