Mark Hamill<\/a><\/strong> still feels the force of Carrie Fisher<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s absence.<\/p>\n Nearly eight years after the actress died in 2016, her Star Wars<\/a><\/em> co-star and longtime friend admitted the weight of her loss is still heavy.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve never stopped missing her,\u201d Hamill exclusively told E! News\u2019 Francesca Amiker <\/strong>at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of The Wild Robot<\/em>. \u201cWhen I hung out with Carrie, you were guaranteed to laugh all day.\u201d<\/p>\n But like any close-knit relationship, he admitted they didn\u2019t always see eye-to-eye. \u201cWe were brother and sister in more than one way, where we would fight too,\u201d he shared. \u201cAnd then, days later, it was all forgotten. She was marvelous, and losing her was something that I still haven\u2019t gotten over.\u201d<\/p>\n So, what would he say to her now if he could? Simple: \u201cI love you and I miss you.\u201d<\/p>\n Hamill and Fisher met after being cast as Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia, respectively, in the original Star Wars<\/em>, which hit theatres in 1977 and spawned a juggernaut media franchise. Though the two shared the screen again in the original trilogy\u2019s subsequent two films, they eventually fell out of touch<\/a> before reconnecting both off-screen and on; they reunited in 2015\u2019s Star Wars: The Force Awakens<\/em> and again in 2017\u2019s Star Wars: The Last Jedi<\/em>, released after Fisher\u2019s death on Dec. 27, 2016.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
