Of course, Remini has never been one to hold back, not when discussing her complicated break from Scientology<\/a> and not when it came to her and Pag\u00e1n’s love story. Which, she emphasized in her book, was not\u00a0<\/em>a love story.<\/p>\n

“I mean, it’s a story about love,” she wrote, “just not the kind that you hope to tell your kids one day.”<\/p>\n

Because, she detailed in her memoir, not long after they first got together, Pag\u00e1n admitted to Remini that he wasn’t separated from his wife, as she thought he was.<\/p>\n

“‘I’m a cheater\u2014and not just with you,'” she recalled him telling her. “‘I have been a cheater my whole life.'”<\/p>\n

Her response? “This guy is so f–ked-up, he’s perfect for me!<\/em>” His (eventual) honesty made her love him even more, she noted. But he also had issues, so she introduced him to Scientology and he signed up for a course. She liked that he was a “normal guy” from outside the church, she wrote, but also “someone who could quickly get with the program and get with Scientology.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
