What About Francesca Bridgerton?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd<\/strong><\/span><\/a>)\u00a0is unfortunately sometimes considered the forgotten Bridgerton\u00a0child, not\u00a0because her family doesn’t love her, but because\u2014as she does on the show\u2014the sixth Bridgerton sibling prefers quiet and calm.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the book series, it’s casually mentioned that Francesca found her husband seven years\u00a0before<\/em>\u00a0we pick up with Penelope and Colin.\u00a0However, executive producer\u00a0Shonda Rhimes\u00a0<\/strong>and team have decided to combine some of the book\u00a0plotlines\u00a0with Francesca, Colin and Benedict Bridgerton (Luke\u00a0Thompson<\/strong>)\u00a0<\/strong>all searching for love in season three. That leads us to\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

In the TV show, Francesca\u00a0becomes\u00a0Queen Charlotte’s\u00a0(Golda Rosheuvel<\/strong><\/span><\/a>)\u00a0“diamond” of the season and finds herself being courted by the Queen’s pick Lord Samadani (David Mumeni<\/strong>), as well as by her preferred suitor, John Stirling, Earl of Kilmartin (Victor Alli<\/strong>).\u00a0(Sadly, Queen Charlotte is not a character in the books, meaning the monarch\u2014and her truly fantastic headpieces\u2014never anoints a “diamond”\u00a0of any\u00a0season.)<\/span><\/p>\n

But luckily for her, she and John find the ideal partner in one another and enjoy a small wedding at home, something book readers don’t get to experience. The couple then move to Scotland, where their story will continue to play out. We’ll avoid any spoilers about Francesca’s future,\u00a0but if you\u00a0are<\/em>\u00a0interested in spoilers, her story is expanded upon in the sixth Bridgerton book,\u00a0When He Was Wicked<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
