Microsoft has been taking a lot of hits over its Xbox Game Pass price hike<\/a> and the overall lackluster offering of games. So to make up for it, they are offering<\/a> a Call of Duty game for the first time on its virtual buffet. Unfortunately, it\u2019s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, <\/em>one of the lowest rated games in the series.<\/p>\n Calling the reviews for Modern Warfare III <\/em>\u201cmixed\u201d would be generous.\u00a0<\/em>IGN\u2019s<\/em><\/a> Simon Cardy said its single-player campaign was \u201cshallow,\u201d \u201cdull\u201d and \u201cthe worst Call of Duty<\/em> single-player campaign I\u2019ve played.\u201d Jump Dash Roll\u2019s<\/em><\/a> Derek Johnson wrote that its main campaign is \u201cgenuinely not worth playing\u201d and its signature Zombies mode \u201cisn\u2019t quite as atrociously terrible as its single-player but that doesn\u2019t mean it\u2019s anything resembling something fun.\u201d<\/p>\n Modern Warfare III <\/em>won\u2019t be the only Call of Duty\u00a0<\/em>game available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Xbox Game Pass will provide day one access to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6<\/em><\/a> in October. Of course, we don\u2019t know how good the game will be but one imagines it’ll garner a bit more favor from critics compared to Modern Warfare III<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
