He was 24.<\/p>\n<p>Maryland State Police said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/msp\/2024\/07\/06\/triple-fatal-crash-under-investigation-into-prince-georges-county\/\">statement<\/a> that the athlete had been riding in a Dodge Charger with <strong>Isaiah Hazel<\/strong>, 23, and <strong>Anthony Lytton Jr.<\/strong>, 24, his former teammates from Wise Jr. High School. The latter two had also played at Florida State and Penn State, and Maryland and Charlotte, respectively, according to multiple reports.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson and Hazel, the driver, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash and Lytton died after being taken to a hospital, police said.<\/p>\n<p>A preliminary investigation indicates that around 3 a.m., a female driver of an Infinity Q50 had attempted to change lanes while driving fast when she struck the car carrying the athletes and then also hit a Chevrolet Impala.
