Suki Waterhouse<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0had a hard time finding the silver lining after her breakup with\u00a0Bradley Cooper<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Daisy Jones and the Six<\/em><\/a>\u00a0star\u00a0explained\u00a0that\u00a0she\u00a0once\u00a0thought she’d never recover from\u00a0their three-year romance that ended in 2015.<\/p>\n

“I really will say that I’m pretty strong at this point,” Suki told\u00a0British Vogue<\/em><\/a>\u00a0for its\u00a0August issue, “but when something very public happens to you and the story behind it is dark and difficult, and you’re actually not doing well, and you can’t explain yourself to the world, that’s very isolating and disorientating.”<\/p>\n

She added, “It probably has taken a decade to work myself out and actually be able to have this expansion in my life.”<\/p>\n

Her music, in turn, has been her outlet. Suki poured her heartbreak into her song “Brutally,”\u00a0which she recorded in 2016 and included on her 2022 EP\u00a0Milk Teeth<\/em>.<\/p>\n

“Your 20s are pretty sadistic,”\u00a0the 34-year-old\u00a0said. “The love I experienced [then] was only ever a fetishisation, and I think when you only get loved in that way, you only get punished.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
