Jonathan Van Ness<\/strong> has issued a response.<\/p>\n Three months after a Rolling Stone<\/em> expos\u00e9<\/a> alleged a myriad of tensions on the set of Queer Eye<\/a>, <\/em>including that Jonathan has \u201crage issues\u201d and can be emotionally \u201cabusive\u201d on set, the 37-year-old has broken their silence.<\/p>\n \u201cOur whole Queer Eye<\/em> family had like first learned about this article in like December,\u201d Jonathan revealed on the June 27 episode <\/a>of the Table Manners<\/em> podcast. \u201c\u2019There’s someone who’s gonna write an investigative takedown about you that isn’t really based in reality, but can certainly have a lot of things taken out of context to make you look as bad as possible. So that could drop any day now. Just so you know.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The hair stylist recounted feeling like they were \u201cwalking on eggshells\u201d in the time between learning of the article and its March publish date.<\/p>\n \u201cI think a lot of people were like looking for a reason to hate me or like looking for a reason to be like, \u2018See, I always knew that they were a fake c–t and this is the proof,\u2019\u201d Jonathan said, adding, \u201cMy family was so supportive of my husband and my team, but I didn’t even get on social media, like look at my phone for three weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
