Just to name a few of the hits: There&#8217;s a <a data-i13n=\"cpos:12;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/doom-the-dark-ages-hits-ps5-xbox-series-xs-and-pc-in-2025-172938801.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:new Doom;cpos:12;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">new Doom<\/a><em>\u00a0<\/em>with a medieval flair (and flail), <a data-i13n=\"cpos:13;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/civilization-7-is-coming-in-2025-213656473.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Civilization VII;cpos:13;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><em>Civilization VII<\/em><\/a> is coming out in 2025, <a data-i13n=\"cpos:14;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/silent-hill-creators-new-game-slitterhead-lands-november-8-222731843.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Slitterhead;cpos:14;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><em>Slitterhead<\/em><\/a><em>\u00a0<\/em>will land on November 8, Heart Machine is building a gorgeous-looking platformer called <a data-i13n=\"cpos:15;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/possessors-is-an-eerily-beautiful-action-sidescroller-from-heart-machine-003306696.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Possessor(s);cpos:15;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><em>Possessor(s)<\/em><\/a>, and the <a data-i13n=\"cpos:16;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/xboxs-fable-reboot-will-come-to-xbox-series-xs-and-pc-next-year-181914674.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Fable;cpos:16;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Fable<\/a><em>\u00a0<\/em>reboot is due out in 2025. There are also <a data-i13n=\"cpos:17;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/an-all-digital-xbox-series-x-is-coming-this-holiday-season-184539660.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:new Xbox Series;cpos:17;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">new Xbox Series<\/a> consoles coming out this fall \u2014 and as it turns out, Microsoft&#8217;s mid-cycle refresh says a lot about the Xbox hardware business as a whole, <a data-i13n=\"cpos:18;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/microsofts-xbox-refresh-cant-compete-with-its-leaked-roadmap-121301282.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:especially when compared;cpos:18;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">especially when compared<\/a> to the company&#8217;s internal roadmap that leaked in October 2022.<\/p>\n<p>After E3 collapsed on itself like a sad souffl\u00e9, Summer Game Fest has emerged as the home of mid-year video game goodness, offering a little more room for smaller studios and plenty of space to grow.
