We told you it would happen nearly a year ago,<\/a> and now it\u2019s official. The Eagles<\/strong> will perform at the Sphere<\/strong> in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

The reunited SoCal-formed rock band on Thursday announced eight shows at the $2 billion venue, from September 20 through October 19.<\/p>\n

The Sphere residency ostensibly comes as part of the Eagles\u2019 \u201cLong Goodbye,\u201d which launched in September, seven years after the death of co-founder <\/strong>Glenn Frey.<\/p>\n

The Eagles will become the fourth act to play Sphere following\u00a0U2,<\/strong> which opened the spherical concert venue last year, Phish,<\/strong> and Dead & Company,<\/strong> whose 30-show residency ends in August.<\/p>\n

The Eagles, who are managed by Sphere consultant Irving Azoff,<\/strong> owner James Dolan\u2019s<\/strong> initial partner in the venue, said they will add more shows as demanded.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the first shows (September 20-21, September 27-28, October 11-12, and October 18-19) start at $175 and are set to go on sale June 21 via \u00a0eagles.com.<\/a><\/p>\n

Registration for the band\u2019s presale, beginning at 1 p.m. ET June 18, is available now via the same website. A Live Nation presale starts at 1 p.m. ET June 20. A limited number of VIP packages will also go on sale at 1 p.m. ET June 18 on the band\u2019s website.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s Not Unusual to Throw Panties Again<\/h2>\n

Tom Jones<\/strong> will restake his claim on the Strip via two shows at the Wynn\u2019s Encore Theater<\/strong> on September 28-29.<\/p>\n

The former Welsh pop icon, who turned 84 last week, debuted on the Strip at the Flamingo<\/strong> in 1967.<\/p>\n

In the \u201970s, he became a mainstay at the International <\/strong>(today\u2019s Westgate),<\/strong> where he befriended Elvis Presley.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And in the \u201980s, he performed regularly at the MGM Grand<\/strong> in the theater that was renamed for David Copperfield.<\/p>\n

Jones last performed at the Wynn in October 2022, but had gone missing from the Strip for 12 years before that.<\/p>\n

Ticket information is forthcoming next week, along with the official announcement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
