The father of a 10-month-old baby is scheduled to appear in court later this month after allegedly leaving her alone in a car when he went inside an Ohio<\/a> casino.<\/p>\n

Kyle Miller<\/a>, 27, of Elyria, Ohio, is charged with child endangerment. A tampering with evidence charge was dropped by prosecutors after reviewing evidence.<\/p>\n

Details on the April 27 incident were revealed in a report this week by Ohio TV station WKYC.<\/p>\n

The infant was spotted unsupervised in a car which was parked on the fourth floor of the Jack<\/a> Cleveland Casino garage.<\/p>\n

A motorist who was in the adjacent car called 911 after seeing the child. The occupants of the nearby car remained in the garage until Cleveland police officers arrived.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When cops opened the car, they found that blankets were taped to the automobile\u2019s backseat windows, according to WKYC.<\/p>\n

Beautiful Baby<\/h2>\n

One person, who had waited for the officers, remarked upon seeing the infant, \u201cOh my God. Look how beautiful she is,\u201d a police recording revealed.<\/p>\n

She was examined by an EMS crew. One in the crew told the child, \u201cYou look tired. You don\u2019t know who I am, and you don\u2019t care who I am \u2014 except for being held.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The baby was transported to UH Rainbow Babies & Children\u2019s Hospital. After getting examined by physicians she was turned over to other relatives.<\/p>\n

Cleveland officers entered the casino to find the father. They found him at about 10:54 p.m.<\/p>\n

He last saw the baby at about 8:10 p.m., so she was alone for two hours and 44 minutes.<\/p>\n

Miller, who was in a t-shirt, was in the casino with a friend.<\/p>\n

Put your hands behind your back,\u201d officers told Miller and his friend. \u201cWho\u2019s the father of the baby?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The officers put Miller in handcuffs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What Were You Thinking?<\/h2>\n

You\u2019re under arrest right now for child endangerment. What were you thinking leaving a baby in a car while you go to the casino,\u201d one of the officers asked him.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Miller<\/p>\n

was booked and later appeared in Cleveland Municipal Court where he entered a not guilty plea. He was released from custody after posting a $15K bond. His next court date is on June 17.<\/p>\n

Similar incidents<\/a> have taken place nationwide where adults have left young children alone in a car while they went into a gaming property to gamble. If convicted, some may face jail sentences. Authorities warn casino visitors unsupervised children run the risk of injury when left alone in vehicles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
