It\u2019s hard to believe, but Destiny <\/em>has been around just shy of ten years<\/a><\/span>, and today\u2019s launch of The Final Shape<\/em><\/a><\/span> <\/em>marks the conclusion of the series\u2019 current saga. As players get ready to dive into this final campaign against the Witness and usher Destiny 2<\/em><\/a><\/span> <\/em>into a new era, they\u2019re also fondly remembering the last ten years that they\u2019ve spent playing Destiny<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Overwatch 2’s New Story Missions: Worth The Money?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It all started with a simple TikTok that I spotted after work yesterday about a pair of twins<\/a><\/span> who\u2019d been playing since the first game. The video, which was set to Destiny 2<\/em>\u2019s somber \u201cDeep Stone Lullaby,\u201d showed them as children in one slide before jumping forward to a picture of them in the present. It hit like a truck. People have grown up playing this game<\/a><\/span> (myself included) and naturally we see a bit of ourselves in this thing that we\u2019ve sunk so much time into.<\/p>\n

That first video established a template for countless others<\/a><\/span> that then began to crop up on my \u201cFor You\u201d page (TikTok\u2019s algorithmic timeline unique to every person), and before I knew it, I was inundated with emotional Destiny <\/em>TikToks about everyone\u2019s ten-year journeys with the game. <\/p>\n
