volunteer in the arts and culture sector, received the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allianceforarts.com\/blog\/2023\/8\/31\/call-for-nominations-volunteerism-in-the-arts-award\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Volunteerism in the Arts Award<\/strong><\/a> last weekend, at the launch of Culture Days.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Inami\u00a0serves as the vice-president on the board of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/queerartsfestival.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Pride in Art Society<\/strong><\/a>, which\u00a0produces the annual <a href=\"https:\/\/queerartsfestival.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Queer Arts Festival<\/strong><\/a> in Vancouver and also runs <a href=\"https:\/\/sumgallery.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>SUM gallery<\/strong><\/a>, which produces 2SLGBTQIA+ arts programming throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p>Inami also serves on the board of directors for <a href=\"https:\/\/zeezeetheatre.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Zee Zee Theatre<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tomoearts.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Tomoe Arts<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>and has an extensive history as a volunteer at the <a href=\"https:\/\/moa.ubc.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Museum of Anthropology<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>(University of British Columbia), <a href=\"https:\/\/pacificspiritparksociety.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Pacific Spirit Park Society<\/strong><\/a> (where he also served as a board member), and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/camosunbog\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Camosun Bog Restoration Group<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Inami has proposed that the $500 prize money be put towards Equity, Diversity and\u00a0Inclusion\u00a0Training for both Pride in Art staff and board.<\/p>\n<p>We warmly congratulate the winner, as well as all of the
