Katy Perry<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0left the crowd roaring at the 2026 World Cup Opening Ceremony.<\/p>\n The \u201cRoar\u201d hitmaker brought the house down ahead of the U.S. men\u2019s national team\u2019s first game against Paraguay at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles June 12 alongside Tyla<\/strong>, Future<\/strong>,\u00a0Anitta<\/strong>,\u00a0LISA<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Rema<\/strong>.<\/p>\n For the show-stopping performance, <\/span>Katy\u2014who donned<\/span>\u00a0a silver sequin gown by Stella McCartney\u2014shared the stage with 10-year-old singer Tius<\/strong> for a bubbly duet of her 2024 track “Wonder.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n As the pair sang and danced to the song, flags of various nations were waved in a circle around them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Taking in the momentous moment, Katy concluded the performance by lifting Tius\u2014wearing a blue tracksuit\u2014into her arms as the duo beamed with excitement.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The \u201cCalifornia Girls\u201d singer\u2014who recently made her red carpet debut with former Canadian prime minister <\/span>Justin Trudeau<\/a><\/strong>\u2014revealed she would be a part of the ceremony\u2019s stacked lineup May 8.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cKicking my feet because I\u2019m performing at the @fifaworldcup 2026 Opening Ceremony in Los Angeles on June 12th!\u201d she wrote on\u00a0Instagram<\/a>. \u201cStay tuned for more info – don\u2019t let this be #TheOneThatGotAway.\u201d<\/p>\n But celebrations in L.A. are just one way the World Cup is kicking off its epic face-offs.
