(Image: taxi.nv.gov)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nA Clark County grand jury indicted Keflome Solomon, 44, on attempted sexual assault and open or gross lewdness on June 4, court records show. Solomon, who is originally from Ethiopia and is not a U.S. citizen, has been employed as a lease driver for Western Cab Company since receiving his taxicab permit in 2016.<\/p>\n
According to the arrest report, the incident occurred in the early morning hours of November 23, 2025, while the woman was traveling from the Aria Resort & Casino back to her hotel at Paris Las Vegas. The woman told police she had been drinking earlier in the day but did not believe she was intoxicated at the time of the ride.<\/p>\n
Surveillance footage from a camera mounted inside the cab reportedly shows Solomon \u201creaching behind the rear passenger side of the seat\u201d after repeatedly looking toward the back seat, where the woman was lying down. Moments later, the woman told police she awoke to Solomon \u201ctouching her vagina area.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u2018What Are You Doing?\u2019<\/h2>\n
When she confronted him \u2014 asking \u201cWhat are you doing?\u201d and \u201cDid you touch me?\u201d \u2014 Solomon allegedly claimed he was trying to retrieve her phone charger. The woman told officers she grabbed Solomon by the collar and began striking him.<\/p>\n
When the cab slowed at an intersection, she opened the door and exited the vehicle.<\/p>\n
The woman, who was visiting Las Vegas from Texas with her family, contacted police shortly afterward.<\/p>\n
Solomon was arrested three days later, with Judge Suzan Baucum initially setting bail at $4,000 during a November 26th hearing in Las Vegas Justice Court.<\/p>\n
After the case was transferred to District Court, Chief Judge Jerry Wiese raised bail to $100,000 and ordered high-level electronic monitoring, citing concerns that Solomon may be a flight risk due to his immigration status.<\/p>\n
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) told KLAS <\/em>it has \u201cno involvement with this individual at this time.\u201d<\/p>\nSolomon is scheduled to return to court later this month.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
