Have you heard of Rec League<\/a>? Oh my gosh, it\u2019s SO much fun to play around with. Basically, it\u2019s an app where you recommend things to friends: dresses, lipstick, bedding, etc., but also books and movies, or family recipes, or travel guides, or just cool life hacks. Anything goes! <\/p>\n

\"rec<\/p>\n

For example, someone recommended crying<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"rec<\/p>\n

And two-dollar bills<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"rec<\/p>\n

And cookie recipes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"rec<\/p>\n

And favorite books<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"rec<\/p>\n

And trip ideas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"rec<\/p>\n

And a regular cup of water<\/a>, which made me laugh out loud.<\/p>\n

Honestly, I feel almost giddy about Rec League<\/a>. It brings together all the best parts of the old-school internet: it\u2019s joyful, creative, expressive, and life-affirming. You learn about fun things and the people who share them. And it gets you good intel when you want it \u2014\u00a0the other day, I searched for cool flip flops and ended up with these colorblock beauties<\/a>. <\/p>\n

I love following people with cool ideas and discoveries, including\u2026<\/p>\n

Prop stylist Ginny Branch<\/a>, who has great party hacks\u2026<\/p>\n

\"rec<\/p>\n

My friend Alison<\/a> with a playful, colorful style\u2026<\/p>\n

Space Camp<\/a>, a home organizing firm (they even scouted a bunch of cool trash cans)\u2026<\/p>\n

\"rec<\/p>\n

And my own<\/a>! Setting up a Rec League is really fun and satisfying. When you add a link (or upload a photo), the app offers to silhouette the image, which makes everything look incredibly cool. And you can create whatever categories you\u2019d like, like \u201cChicago restaurants\u201d or \u201cspring outfit wishlist\u201d or \u201cbooks that changed my life.\u201d Even \u201cpotatoes.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n
